This Living Salish Sea- preview

Five-minute excerpt to be shown by Green Film Series June 8, 2015 in Gibsons

Watch This Living Salish Sea – Excerpt. A 5min excerpt now available to watch on Vimeo.

An excerpt from “This Living Salish Sea” will be shown at the Green Film Series screening of “Symphony of the Soil” on June 8, 2015 at the Heritage Playhouse in Gibsons.  Starting at 7:30 pm, admission is by donation at the door.  You can get more info or make reservations at the green film series website.

We had originally scheduled This Living Salish Sea to premiere on June 8, World Oceans Day. Unfortunately, due to a sudden and very severe medical emergency in my family, all work on the film came to an immediate halt, and I was unable to complete the film for screening on the June 8th date. It is now planned to be released this coming fall.

However, we will be screening a 5-min preview excerpt on June 8, along with the full length feature Symphony of the Soil. I will be attending the screening.

This excerpt is a simple lyrical piece with undersea images from the South Coast of Vancouver Island and music composed by Shie Rozow.

One of the reasons I choose to show the waves and underwater currents in the beginning of this excerpt is to show the extent to which this area is in constant motion, on a calm day.  Motion, energy and life.
